What one thing would you add to the class knapsack of stuff to take into hiding?

If I was to bring one thing, it would be my Solitaire Game so when I get bored, I can play the game.

I would bring seeds to grow a plant and grow tomatoes and different vegetables. It's better than potatoes. Plus, I would also bring chocolate because two years without chocolate is unbearable.

If I only can bring one thing inside the backpack, I would bring a pot of plant. It will make me feel not alone, and then I will not be boring, because I will have things to do. Like, take care a pot of plant, feed it, talk to it, decorate it, watch it how it grows, guard it, so that nobody can still it, and etc. And she will be my good listener. I'm really serious. She will give me a seed, then I have more works to do, and I will not be boring forever and ever.

I would bring a big binder full of plain white paper and a few pencils for drawing. The reason for this is because I could draw, play games, and do puzzles whenever I need something to do.

I would bring this card my best friend gave me that has a picture of two little girls playing out in the rain. On the inside it says "who needs the sun when there's you". Whenever I got sad I would just look at the card and it would make me feel special and liked.

Well, of course I couldn't bear to go without writing, so I'd have to bring paper, but that's too obvious. I would end up wanting to bring at least ONE of my plants (I have quite a few...). Let's see though, what one thing would I REALLY want/need to bring?

Hmm...

Oh! I know! My Book of Shadows; that's what I'd bring. That way, I would still have something to write in, there are some plant leaves and seeds that I taped in there, and it would give me something to do when I'm not writing. I even have some astronomy-related stuff in there, so this'd be something I would definately bring.

Please ignore the stupid username above. I don't know why it did that. It's just me, I posted the comment above about the Book of Shadows. Sorry.

If I had to do something like Anne Frank did I would proably bring my photo album with all the pictures of all of us on class trips going all the way back to the Whale Watch in fifth grade and has some from chatterbox from this year and all the other class trips and parties because then when I looked at it I would think of everything and think that hopefully I would see my friends again.

I would definitely have to bring my iPod with me. Then, I could listen to all of my favorite songs and remember times when I heard those songs with my friends. Some songs have lots of memories associated with them. Also, if I ever got bored, I could dance to the music and stretch and rehearse things that I haven't done in forever.

if i could bring 1 thing in a backpack it would be; lots of paper, pencils and my pet awsome. For those of you who remember...

If I could take one thing, It would be A japanese fan that my friend magumi gave me, or my stuffed animal Kana. I got her when I was 6 for my birthday, named after my friend Kana Kobiashi that moved back to Japan. Wow! I didn't realize it, but my most prized objects are all related to my friends in Japan. Tee hee!

If I had to bring one thing into hiding, it would be a super cool stuffed animal. His name is Flumby and it is a flamingo that I got in Disney World a while ago. I've had him for at least 6 years and I usually bring him on trips that we go on. His neck is all messed up.

Unknown said...

Okay, well, now that other people have mentioned their stuffed animals, I don't feel as embarassed saying what I would bring first. I would bring my plush unicorn named Stella. The only thing is, I would need a rather large knapsack to fit her in it. If I couldn't bring her, I would bring a smaller plush unicorn of mine. Her name is Mystic, and I've had her longer than I have had Stella. If I couldn't bring either of them, I would pack my baby blanket, Blankie (yes, I still have it; it has been covered over several times from wear and tear. The original blanket is starting to disintegrate).

If I had to go into hiding I would probably bring a strechy cord so I could do excercise with without making a sound. It would also be useful for me to make a giant slingshot out of so if police tried to get through the front door then I could soot things at them,

Unknown said...

I like that idea, Kieran! That's really funny, yet very unique and creative! That made me laugh! Thanks, I needed a good laugh; I've been cleaning and organizing all day. =^)

If i had to go into hiding i would bring a small portible electric piano keyboard so that i could play it softly and adjust the volume as needed so that i could only hear and play for others whenever i could. Piano is basically my life and I could not live without it.

Now that I think and I'm not just writing down whatever is on my mind impulsively, I know one thing I wouldn't be able to go without.

When I was born, my mother had given me a music box. This music box sits on my bookshelf in my bedroom as a ceramic, ivory-colored, heart-shaped, box with pink roses, green leaves, and gold accenting decorating the lid. When I wind it up, my music box plays the song, "Some Say Love". Sometimes the music makes me cry, but I cry because I feel a surge of something other than saddness. When the soft music plays from this little box upon my shelf, I feel like somebody out there cares about me, I know that I am loved. Within this musical box is more than just air, music, and fuzzy pink lining. Inside this box is something worth more than gold, diamonds, or any amount of money; in my music box is my mother's love. Her love and the love of all family past. Playing the music lets this love out; it comes, warms me, reminds me, shows me that no matter how bad things may seem, there is always the love of my mother there with me, always. She and I are one at heart, completely inseperable from one another. This music box is evey dream ever dreamt, every song ever sung, every kiss ever given, and every poem ever written. It is a song, in a box, of every year, ever passed; a river of everything dear, flowing in a peaceful, unbroken loop, inside.
My mother's love is all I will ever need; you can't ask for more than that.

WOW! Those are some great ideas! Jennifer- your card is awesome! I have to agree with the chocolate idea- 2 years without chocolate would be horrible!!!

Im having a really hard time deciding what I should bring. I would bring a picture of Rocco because if I can't put him in my suitcase (He weighs 1/2 a ton), then I need his picture to remember him. For any of you who don't know who Rocco is, he's my horse: Mecklenburg Warmblood 5 years old: The most coolest awesomest horse in the entire universe. I would also bring my boston Red Sox hat because lets face it: they are infact the BEST baseball team! For those of you who were thinking I was going to say I liked the yankees: you thought wrong! I think I would also bring a picture of my mom's face that time when my brother and I put two dead garden snakes, and a tadpole in her pasta pot on a night we were having spaghetti and meatballs. That makes me laugh every time! I think if hiding would make me sad all the time you need somethings that make you laugh and cheer you up! I think that I would have to add my Hummer shirt to that list too becuase I love Hummers and the shirt reminds me of off road driving in yellow hummers. Sorry for telling you almost all of my list, but I couldn't decide what I should post so I had to tell everything.

I would prolly bring a a hand held gaming system so i dont die of boredom, and maybe when it runs out of batteries i guess, a bouncy ball to play with if it didnt make a ton of noise

ok well if i had to go into hiding and i could only bring one thing i would bring my pillow that is a bunny becayse i have had him since i was born and he would make me feel secure. hes not too big so it would be easy to carry him in a bag of somesort. and dont laugh but his name is bun buns and remember i was like 3 when i named him and im not going to change his name now. He would also keep me company i no that sounds weird that a stuffed animal could keep you company but people that have those special stuffed animals i think you might know what i maen or you could be sitting there laughing at me. well thats what i would bring

well wow..there are many strange ideas and adrians flamingo is bluming awsome man! haha yeah. i would bring if i were going into hiding, probably, a lot of paper-make things out of them- and a gun so i would be prepared for some nazis!!!!

British +USA defeat the nazis so i d be helping!

If I was going into hiding I would bring a picture of my family and a weapon for defense. I would use that weapon in desperate times only.

If I was going in to hiding I would bring candy and snacks for sugar but I would probably really bring a huge package of gum.(It would fit in the bag though) It sounds strange...I know but gum can be used for lots of things. Chewing it would be distracting enough to keep my mind off of things and you could use it to stick things together. Plus, gum is really entertaining when you have nothing to do.

I would definitely bring one of those science kits to make all kinds of (quiet) experiments with. I guess you couldn't get tired of it because you could try something new each time!

Unknown said...

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned a Swiss Army knife and/or a flashlight yet... Hmm...

- Gasp -

What about my socks!! My socks are too nifty to be left behind, and I have WAAAY too many to possibly wear all at once! ... My poor, poor socks... How could I have ever forgotten them?!

Unknown said...

That's a good idea, Ellison...

If I had to bring one thing into hiding, it would probably be something like a toothbrush.....bad breath grosses me out! Or purell.

If it had to be something sentimental, I would bring my BIG BUNNY! Big bunny is my favorite stuffed animal. He is blonde-ish with long floppy ears and a pink bow around his neck. I got big bunny when i was really little and i was sick in the hospital. He is really special to me for some reason.

PS.-- My first choice was a photo album, but too many people already said that, so thats why i didn't initally say that.

Unknown said...

I absolutely agree to the toothbrush, toothpaste, and purell, Allie! I have a Big Bunny too! I got mine when I was really little also, but mine is pink and white with floppy ears, and it has a baby bunny that looks just like it!
Yay for Big Bunnies! =^{D

The only thing is - would mine fit in my knapsack with my other things?

hmmm. I can't really decide because there are so many things that mean stuff to me. If I really had to pick I would pick my Teddy Bear that i got when i was born. He has these odd colored pants ,but he's still the best. If I couldn't bring my bear because of some anti-bear law, I would bring a greek food recipe book my grandma gave me.

Anonymous said...

If I had to bring something into hiding I would bring purple duct tape. Purple duct tape is very useful for many things, and it could also make things more bright and colorful (sort of like what Anne Frank did with the postcards).

If I were to go into hiding I would bring a book and a flashlight with batteries in my bag. I can't last long without reading.
Ps: I know that I postted so late. I tried to post on friday, but I had to go to lessons. There sure are a lot of interesting ideas.well I'm going to watch the superbowl!

Anonymous said...

Jen- I agree with the swiss army knife idea, but I don't think that someone would bring a flashlight because I thought if you had any light you would be caught by the Nazzis

if I had to bring one thing than i would bring a basketball even though it would make a lot of noise and being trapped in a room for 2 years, you could get a lot of drills in. It would be a basketball or some form of weapon because a basketball would make alot of noise but would be fun to play with but if I brought a weapon than I could stay safe but I would be sitting in a corner waiting for someone to come in and shoot on demand and go insane so I would probably choose the basketball.

That or a flat screen with every selvester stallone movie ever made:)

If i could bring one thing to go into hiding, I would bring a deck of cards. There are so many things you can do with one pack of cards. They would provide entertainment, for a while.

Anonymous said...

if I had to go into hiding, I'd probably bring a pack of loose leaf paper and a pencil, so I could write my faniction and play games. And if I could bring it, my iPod, because I love listening to music.

Anonymous said...

I would bring a time capsule with paper and pencil, so that I could write down my will and keep it inside the time capsule, safely. I give all my cloth to my cousins, my books, computer, and game players to my brother. All my furniture to my other cousins. And all my money to my mom and dad!

Anonymous said...

I would bring the blanket with me. Then I can sleep comfortably. I dream a lot. Sometimes I dream what I hope, and what I think. When I'm not sleeping, I still can imagine, and the blanket will make me comfortable, warm, and sleepy.
