Sorry I could not be at the awards ceremony. I created the show to express my affection and thanks to all of you for such a great year. I am way behind in my writing of thank you notes . . . I hope to catch up soon. Thank you for the party and the gifts and the cards and the letters and the email . . . Thank you for everything! I hope the slideshow illustrates that we all had a great year!!!!!!Pictures came out fuzzy on Youtube; i am trying to fix that.

If Mr.Lawrence Could Read These...What Would You Say?

Sometimes it helps just to think that Mr.Lawrence still walks this earth watching over us, always giving us little hints to figure out problems. By no means am I very religious but I prayed and continue to pray for the happiness of Mr.Lawrence and his family. I'm posting this because I am fairly sure only Jen and maybe a few others will ever see it. So The idea of this is either to write down prayers or just things you would want to say to Mr.Lawrence. It may seem silly but who knows, maybe there is another world and he can watch from above.

I think of Mr. Lawrence very often. In the short time I was priveleged enough to get to know him, he taught me some of the utmost important lessons and gave me some of the most influential advice I could ever have hoped to receive.

Top ranking among all of those things he told me was that I had potential. No teacher had ever really told me that - not that I can remember. I know I have the tendency to say this rather often, but the truth speaks for itself from my heart: Mr. Lawrence's encouragement and reassurance that I posessed something special within me (a knack for writing, of sorts) are the key reasons why I continued writing (reluctantly at first) past 6th grade.

In honour and loving memory of Mr. Lawrence, my first novel is dedicated to him, wholeheartedly, as a thank you for all that he's done and will continue to do for my classmates and me as he lives on with all of us in our hearts and memories.

We miss you dearly Mr. Lawrence, and know that no matter how much time elapses, you can be certain that a number of us always will miss you and with you were still here with us today.
Happy Spring, Mr. L.
